THE PRESBYOPIA
Presbyopia, from the Greek presbys (old), is the loss of the ability to use the eyes at the next point without the aid of glasses.
According to the commonly accepted interpretation, the loss of near vision in mature age is attributable to the hardening of the lens, but it is not possible to fully agree the facts with this theory, since not only presbyopia can manifest itself long before the forty years and even during childhood, but even often it delays beyond fifty years and sometimes does not arise at all.

TWIST Folding Readers was born specifically as reading glasses.
We thought of a pre-assembled reading glasses that had important technological contents and that was also able to combine quality and economy. Thanks to in-depth market research, twenty years of experience in the field of eyewear design and the use of the most modern design methods, we have managed to create an engineering masterpiece: TWIST Folding Readers, a modern, functional, practical pre-assembled and aesthetically pleasing.
Almost unique in its field, TWIST Folding Readers designs, manufactures and distributes its own products and has quickly established itself in the sector of eyewear for the correction of presbyopia thanks to its innovative design and its indisputable quality.
All the components of TWIST Folding Readers, both construction and assembly, have been condensed into a single integrated “Screwless” project.
THE FRONT
The heart of TWIST Folding Readers is the monolithic SHF (Shaft Housing Frame) front which incorporates high quality lenses in which focal centers are perfectly aligned, interpupillary distance and dioptric parity controlled. The front of TWIST Folding Readers is produced in optical polycarbonate with an injection process optimized to obtain a lens of excellent quality.
The front of TWIST Folding Readers is and of reduced height in order to maintain the vision for far out of the lens and without circles so that the gaze can pass from the lens to the free space without solution of continuity
The widened bridge allows it to be placed both on the nasal septum and on the tip of the nose.
Furthermore, if placed on a surface with the lenses facing downwards, they do not touch, preventing scratches.
UV protection
UV400 is the name given to the category capable of blocking all solar rays up to a wavelength of 400 nanometers. This includes UV-A and UV-B rays.
Long and intensive exposure can lead to inflammation of the conjunctiva and cornea.
In severe cases, the visual system can be damaged in the long term and there is a risk of cataracts.

MUSETTI AND AUCTIONS
Unlike traditional glasses in which the nose is integral with the front, in TWIST Folding Readers the nose and temples form a system in itself.
The TSE (Twisting Shaft Endpiece) nose pieces incorporate the male of the hinge that gives movement to the temples. These remain in place, thanks to the ICH (Integrated Cam Hinges) system, with a click that is synonymous with design and construction quality.
Manufactured in Grilamid TR90 with injection process, the TWIST Folding Readers rods are hypoallergenic, aseptic, athermic. Shape and size are functional to the use of a real reading glasses which is TWIST Folding Readers.
The folding and rotating system of the temples under the front allows the glasses to be housed in the polyethylene case with a thickness of only 11 mm.

- TWIST One Read with transparent lenses for generic reading. Ideal companion of the modern over 40 that does not give up on aesthetics, practicality and a touch of color. On your desk or in your jacket pocket, TWIST One Read is never out of place. Despite the transparent lens, TWIST One Read absorbs 100% of UV rays. (Lens code 001184)
- TWIST One Shade with gray lenses for reading in the sun. When there is the need to minimize the overall dimensions while maintaining the right protection TWIST One Shade, thanks to its compactness and small size, is simply perfect. 100% absorption of UV rays is obviously a must. - TWIST One Type is suitable for those who spend many hours in front of the computer. The amber shade of the lens increases comfort by giving a feeling of relaxation to the eye and reducing the tiredness of those who work in environments with artificial light. This particular lens also has the pleasant effect of enlivening the neon light. A transmittance of 87% and an absorption of UV rays at 100% complete the technical picture of TWIST One Type.
